Season rules at Crystal River
Kings Bay is the only place in the United States where in-water interaction with wild manatees is legal, under U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service rules, with a licensed tour operator. Sanctuary zones are roped off in season and idle-speed zones apply on the water.
